I return often to the idea of the façade: architectural, social, institutional — a skin that conceals and reveals, protects and excludes, invites and resists. What interests me most is the in-betweenness.I am drawn to the spaces where art meets its public. Sometimes this takes the form of exhibitions, interventions, or performances. Other times it is in the quiet labour of hosting, producing, or coordinating cultural spaces — such as Frieze Masters, London Fashion Week, Market Art Fair, and Moderna Dansteatern.
